Targul de Florii, 2015/ Palm Sunday Fair, 2015
5 aprilie - Floriile
În duminica de Florii, oamenii au voie să mănânce peşte. Merg la biserică ducând flori şi se întorc ducând mâţişori de salcie. Ating cu salcia copiii, vitele din gospodărie şi o pun la icoană: peste an ea capătă tot felul de întrebuinţări. Tot acum sunt fierte buruienile care vor fi folosite la vopsirea ouălor. Cum este vremea de Florii, aşa va fi şi de Paşte. Sunt locuri unde în această zi oamenii nu se spală pe cap, de teamă să nu albească (încărunţească) la fel ca pomii aflaţi în floare. În alte părţi se spală pe cap tocmai în această zi, dar cu apă în care au fiert busuioc şi fire de la canafii unui prapor care a fost purtat la o înmormântare de fată mare. Ca să fie de folos părului, să-l facă să strălucească de sănătate, apa trebuie vărsată la rădăcina unui păr.

With those branches they bless their children, their animals and then adorn the icon with them. In this day, they boil the herbs with which they paint the Easter eggs. The weather will be at Easter the same it is this Sunday. There are some country regions where people don't wash their hair today, because they fear not to turn grey/ white like the blossomed trees. In some other regions, they wash their hair especially this day, with water boiled with basil and the fringes from a labarum used at the burial of a unmarried young woman. It is said that this water will make the hair shine, only if they'll pour it at the roots of a pear tree, afterwards.
