Maica Domnului Legănătoarea/ The Virgin of the Andes

 O icoană inspirată de artisul peruan Artemio Coanqui. Lucrările lui cu subiect religios au o puternică amprentă a stilului Școlii Populare din Cusco. În perioada colonială (sec. 16, 17, 18), în regiunea Cusco din Peru, acest stil de artă populară s-a dezvoltat sub aripa bisericii Romano- Catolice și a preluat temele religoase creștine într-o manieră originală.

An icon inspired by the Peruvian artist Artemio Coanqui. His religious paintings have a distinguished mark of the Cusco Art School. In the Colonial period (16th, 17th and 18th century), in the Andes region of Cusco, this folk art style was spread by the Roman- Catholic church.
