Naivia is a planet where I spent most of my latest years. It's colorful, magic, bucolic and it's full of marvelous beings, as you'd read in a fairy tale. If you happen to go there, you're gonna start remembering how it was to be a child, how clever were the fairy tales, and how much you've changed...It's very hard to be ingenuous, to think like a child and to have your childhood dreams. Even though nobody needs ingenuity anymore, I think quite the contrary! WE need it badly, we need something warm and soulful, we need the simplicity of expression... We need a new world, where we can again be the children we once were!

Povestea Obligenei/ The legend of Sweet Flag

In the Old Testament it's mentioned that God commended Moses to use sweet flag and other aromatic herbs and make an ointment, which he should use when he comes close to the Tabernacle

Pintea Viteazul/ Pintea the Brave

In sfarsit, am ascultat-o pe e tare frumoasa.
I've listened to a piece of this song on the radio some time ago. Since then, I searched for it, but wouldn't find it at all! One of these days, on Fabr1s's Youtube channel, I finally found it. At last, I listened to all of it....and it's so nice.
It's a song about an outlaw who stood against the tyranny of the landowners. His name was Pintea the brave, and he was loved by the folk of Romania. There are many folk songs about this man, but this particular one is straight from the heart of Transylvania, recorded from a peasant, as he knew it from his ancestors. So it is a very special version of the folklore based on Pintea the Outlaw.

Povestea Rostopascai/ The legend of Celandine

This discrete yellow flower was painted by Albrecht Durer himself, as an offering for curing him of a liver disease. The Romans named it "Chelidonium", which means "Gift of the sky", and they considered it as powerful as the sun. Later, alchemists tried to transform it into gold, impressed by its orange milk.

Povestea Busuiocului/ The legend of Basil

Vazand aceasta, Imparateasa a pus oamenii sa sape acolo, si astfel s-a gasit crucea Mantuitorului.

It was in the times when people were searching for Christ's cross. The Empress Helen, mother of Constantine, went to mount Golgotha and found there a place where lots of basil have grown. Seeing this, the Empress told people to dig in that place, and so the Holy Cross was found.

Povestea Mentei/ The story of Peppermint

Aceasta e legenda Mentei.

Povestea Musetelului/ The story of Chamomile

Chamomile was the sun of a widow. They were poor, but they were living in peace, for they had good hearts. One day, the old widow fell sick and Chamomile left his home to go find healing herbs for his mother. He went into a valley full of flowers and he started picking them, while crying. The Flower Fairy heard his cries and told him that she can save his mother, but she'll have to transform him into a flower. Chamomile accepted the deal and now we have this delicate flower which helps us with many sufferings.

Povestea Cicorii/ The story of Chicory

Chichory was a beautiful maiden and the Sun fell in love with her. He sent two stars to propose, but Chicory refused him. Angry, the Sun transformed her into a flower which opens up its petals only when it has sunlight.
Chicory is a good remedy for kidney problems, cough, hepatitis, intestinal worms, diabetes, cardiac problems etc. It is also used as a coffee substitute.

Povestea Salviei/ The story of Sage

Sage (Salvia Officinalis) is said to have been blessed by the Virgin Mary herself. When Herod led the persecution of infants, it is said that Sage was the only plant who hid and sheltered the Holy Virgin and her Son. So, beside its attributes as a very popular healing herb, it is also known as a demon remover.
Its name comes from the Latin word salvare, to save, to cure. The sage tea is good for the prevention of myocardial infarction and coronary pains, it recharges the cells from the cerebral cortex, it keep the body young and it cleans it. Sage baths remove fatigue, add a pleasant fragrance to the skin and keep up the mind tonus.

Legendele plantelor de leac/ Legends of the healing herbs

Sunatoarea este, deci, o buruiana buna care ne ajuta in probleme cum ar fi depresia, alcoolism, epilepsie, psoriazis, artrită reumatoidă, ulcer, coşmaruri la copii,  gastrite hiperacide, ulcer gastric, hepatite, colite, colecistite, dischinezie biliară, enterocolite cronice, arsuri, răni.
Cum se face ceaiul de sunatoare? Iaca-sa!

Saint John's wort. It is said that this herb was Saint john's herb, and it's best picked on his holy day. So, on June 24th, this herb has the most power and even magical properties. Pick it and put it under your pillow, on the evening of the 24th and you'll dream Saint John himself, blessing you.
Saint John's wort cures affections like depression, alcoholism, epilepsy, ulcers, arthritis, states of insanity, gastritis, kidney troubles, colitis, burn plagues etc.
Here is a simple tea recipe
In 300 ml boiled water, you put one teaspoon of powdered herb (leafs and flower) and let it infuse for 10- 15 minutes.
Its flavor is quite strong, with a slightly bitter taste and a redish color.
